BEHAVIOURAL NEUROSCIENTIST
Dr. Coppa is a trained Clinical Psychologist, Research Psychologist, and Behavioural Neuroscientist (a scientist who studies and applies the principles of biology to the study of the physiological, genetic, and developmental mechanisms of behaviour). Dr. Coppa completed a Ph.D. doctoral degree at McMaster University in Psychology and Behavioural Neuroscience, after her previous Honours Bachelor of Science (University of Toronto) and Masters (Wilfrid Laurier University) degrees in the same disciplines. This was followed by a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), a clinical internship in private practice, then clinical supervision by a group of independent Psychologists under the guidance and regulatory framework of the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Dr. Coppa has also been clinical lecturer and researcher at CAMH, University of Toronto, Wilfrid Laurier University, Ryerson University, and McMaster University, and creator of psychoeducation workshops for schools, school boards, and regional police units. Dr. Coppa has also served as board member on various community mental health organizations, including St. Leonard's Community Services and RPlaces in Brantford, Ontario. Dr. Coppa assesses and treats children, adolescents and adults according to their individual needs, and works collaboratively with other regulated health care professionals. Dr. Coppa’s extensive training in clinical practice, psychology, and neuroscience allows her to provide combined approaches and psychotherapies in assisting her clients to address many problems. Dr Coppa also provides clinical supervision to Clinical Psychologists and Psychological Associates in training who provide assessment and treatment services at Coppa Care. Dr. Coppa is a registered member in good standing of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysits of Ontario (CPBAO), Ontario Psychological Association (OPA), and the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA).

Ms. Nair is our care coordinator expert. Prior to joining Coppa Care she worked at the Bay and College Physiotherapy clinic in Toronto as a Clinic Assistant Manager where she gained experience with clients struggling with physical and mental distress. In this role she assisted on-call psychologists who provided both assessment and treatment services. Ms. Nair has also completed volunteer placements at various mental health institutions as a part of her studies. During this period she developed a keen interest in psychology and helping others in need regardless of age and gender. Ms. Nair is currently enrolled in a B.Sc.N. program at McMaster University in order to register as a registered nurse, and plans to pursue nurse practitioner training after that. Ms. Nair's knowledge combined with her positivity and understanding will ensure that your interactions with Coppa Care are defined by caring professionalism. As a valued and integral member of the Coppa Care team Ms. Nair's goal is to support our clinicians in serving you better.
PSYCHOLOGY RESIDENT &
CLINICAL ASSOCIATE
Ms. Chladny provides treatment and assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults under the direct supervision of
Dr. Coppa. She has completed a Master’s degree in Cognitive and Behavioural Neuroscience preceded by an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree specializing in Psychology and Neuroscience (Wilfrid Laurier University). She is currently enrolled in a Masters of Clinical Psychology degree program at Adler University in preparation for enrolling in a clinical psychology doctoral program in order to register as clinical psychologist with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). Prior to joining Coppa Care Ms. Chladny worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counsellor and Vocational Evaluator, a Program Assistant at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, and a Disability Employment Support Worker. Ms. Chladny is also a member of the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA) and Canadian Psychological Association (CPA).
PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATE (Supervised Practice)
Ms. Okafor is an empathetic and dedicated clinician who provides assessment and treatment to adults under the direct supervision of Dr. Coppa, as she registers with The College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).
Ms. Okafor earned her Bachelour degree in Psychology from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Nigeria and her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. Prior to joining Coppa Care, Ms. Okafor worked as a senior clinical psychologist at the Federal Neuropsychiatric hospital in Lagos, Nigeria. She was also a founder and director of Wellness-Solution Psychological services, Lagos, Nigeria.
Ms. Okafor has a wide range of professional experience in caring for persons with various life challenges. She provides individualized and client centred psychological interventions in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner. She conducts assessments using standardized instruments and applies evidence based psychotherapies in managing mental and emotional problems.
Ms. Okafor is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Psychological Association (APA), Nigerian Psychological Association (NPA), Nigerian Association of Clinical Psychologists (NACP), International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP), Ontario Psychological Association (OPA), and Canadian Psychological Association (CPA).
Ms. Okafor offers services in both English and Igbo languages.
CLINICAL ASSOCIATE
Ms. Sharma provides treatment and assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults under the direct supervision of
Dr. Coppa. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Human Behaviour from McMaster University and an Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Care. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Adler University, preparing to enroll in a clinical psychology doctoral program to become a registered clinical psychologist with the College of Psychologists and Behavioural Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).
Ms. Sharma brings a unique perspective to her work, as a practicing Child and Youth Care Practitioner, with experience working at SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health (CCMH), McMaster Children’s Hospital, and various school boards, including the Halton District School Board (HDSB) and the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB). She is also a member of the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA), the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA), and the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care (OACYC).
